First what was the grounds for the anulment, but if he is filing, he would not be doing it in another country.

There will still be court hearings unless you merely agree to it.

Sounds like time for you to file for divorce

He didn't state his grounds. So he has to file through the state where we married? Or does the Military file for him? Im not sure what would be easier... We have only been married for 9 mo and have no common bills or children.

Each state has its own rules for anullment, but you may have some rights to money or benefits in a divorce. Cobra insurance is one I can think of. Perhaps even a small allimony.

The military will not file for him, but he may have access to legal advice

Now I am a 21yr old. My husband and I were only married for 9 months and have nothing together. He is telling me that I will not get the belongings in my house. He has stated that the annulment is free and in Arizona its about $600. He has also stated that the annulment will be finalized in a couple days and I don't have to sign. I am so confused because everything you guys are telling me is not what he is stating.

If you have been married for 9 months, there is very little chance of an annullment unless there are special circumstances (i.e. got married drunk in vegas)

If you have been living together, you will need to get a divorce. He is lying to you or someone is lying to him, most likely.

And either way, you WILL be a part of whatever proceeding happens.
