    Humming Noise from Toilet
So, I have read a few different threads on this site and tried to come up with the perfect culprit to my problem, but I am not sure.

I have a loud foghorn noise coming form my pipes in the Master Bathroom toilet. At first I thought it was the fill valve, so I replaced it with the Fluidmaster 400A that a bunch of you have recommended. Whenever I turn the water back on, I still get the humming sound. The only way to get it to stop is to turn the water at the slowest leak... but when I do this, the tank doesn't fill up fast enough and the flapper won't seal because there is no water pressure on top of it.

After reading through your suggestions, I am going to guess that the angle stop is dirty or needs to be cleaned out... or a washer is loose within the angle stop.

Anyone have any suggestions? If it is the angle stop, how do I go about repairing it?

    Thanks!

To replace the washer at the angle valve you need to shut off water at the main, flush the toilet open the angle valve half way, loosen the packing nut remove the stem assembly, remove the screw at the end of the stem and remove the washer, get a new washer and replaace it, see the picture below eill show how to remove it, thanks.

Thanks for the advice. So are you saying that it IS most likely that washer? Could it also just be a bunch of the air in the pipes that I need to purge? Just trying to get to the bottom of it!

Humming Noise from Toilet, is normally caused by dirt or bad washer in the fill valve , are loose washer in angle valve, you have replaced the fill valve already next step is to replace the washer at angle valve, good luck.
