    Bond Reduction
How long do you have to wait before you can make a request to the courts for a bond reduction and how do you go about requesting it? Do I just write to the judge or is this a named motion. If so, what is the about document called?

    Thank You

    Hello K:

You don't have to wait at all. It IS a motion, but I don't think you can do this by yourself. He/she should have a lawyer appointed at the arraignment where they set the bond. If they didn't appoint a lawyer, call the PD's office, and get one.
