    Hello JD:

If you were tried by courts marshal, then you can't be tried again. I'd hire a lawyer.

But, of course, only military are tried by courts marshal, so something else happened and you should tell me what it was.

No I'm not in military my dad is when I started working for the main exchange I started stealing little by little then I stop few months later I was called in lost prevention office and was interrogated so I admit to everything my I didn't have the merchandise any more so they didn't have a proof but they estimate how much could it possibly wort so it came out to be 629 then I was sent to base court so the judge put 200 doller on top of what I stole because he said they don't know if I told them every thing that I have stolen he made me do a community service by going to my school and talk to a group of kids what can possibly happen to you if u do the wrong things he made me change my military card so I can't to any stores gyms and other facility only the hospital after I done what he wanted me to do he said he would take care of the federal court so I don't have to show on the fed few months late I have receive a letter letting me know when is my court date help me I'm only 19 going to paramedic school and I want to become a fire man one day thanks

    Hello again, jd:

I understand. Here's the legal concept you need to understand. It's called double jeopardy. That means you can't be tried for the same crime TWICE.

You went to "base court", and were found GUILTY. You were punished. According to the laws of our country, that is IT. They can't do it again in federal court. In fact, your base court probably WAS a federal court.

So, go to court as the letter instructs you to do. Be careful what you say. These people are NOT your friends. When your case is called, tell the judge that you were already tried in the "base court". Bring any documentation from the "base court", that you have.

If that doesn't end it, ask the judge to give you a lawyer. He should, and then do what your lawyer tells you.
