    Above ground pool filtration
Hello, I was wondering if a idea I have would be worth the effort. I have 2 sand filters, one in operation and one just waiting to be put to use. Every time I backwash it makes me cringe due to the fact I have to have water hauled in. could the second sand filter I have sitting around be plumbed in a way where I backwash filter 1 into it and then return water back into pool after being filtered through it? The 2nd would be ran only when the primary is in backwash mode. Or would it be more beneficial to just run them both in series? Any thoughts are appreciated. Regards, matt

If you hook 2 in series it will decrease your flow and in the and the pool will likely not be able to maintain a good chlorine level. How much water are you losing during backwash, should be only 20-30 gallons
