Internet connect over Belkin with NETGEAR
I've got a Net gear router and I'm trying to connect a laptop over a Belkin Wireless G USB connection.

The laptop shows that its connected in the system tray, however the Belkin properties shows a problem between Comp and Ltop.

Changing config for windows to manage the connection does not solve the issue.

    a. How do I confirm that the Ltop is connected to the router
    b. How do I connect IE7 so that it works

I find that the bast way to start with a new wireless connection is to ensure that any security of the Netgear is turned OFF.
So no encryption (WEP or WPA)
Get yourself a good solid connection and then slowly reapply the encryption.

What you are describing, I believe, is related to this.
