I'm a 15 year old boy and I have a very close relationship with a 12 year old girl at my church. I really like her and I'm always with her, I found out recently that all the youths at my church think we are going out.

But that is not the main problem which is I told my close friend from school all about her and she told someone else and so on etc.. Well it has all been like a bad game of Chinese whispers and now my entire believe I'm a pedophile I've tried to explain but it hasn't worked I even had to see the child protection officer and was asked if I had touched young girls in a sexually explicit manner and then had my USB stick confiscated after reports of child porn

This was a while back so the situation has died down quite a bit among my classmates but those in the bottom sets still give me aggravation I'm soon going on to college and I want to stop it before it spreads there. I need help.

This should be as good of a lesson that you have learned as anything you will learn in college and that is: Never tell anyone something that you would not want everyone to know. Of course as you get older and get married and have a family things will change, then you can tell your wife and your family things but they won't be teenage gossip to be spread around school.

Now about the twelve year old girl, you should never do anything that you would think was inappropriate with a person that young, now again as you get older say nineteen and she is sixteen or seventeen that would be the time for you to maybe show some interest in her. After you get into your twenties three or four years difference in age is OK but not with a twelve year old.

Hi, Was it a sexual relationship?The best advice to give you is to stay away from that girl so you won't get in trouble. There is nothing else for you to do , just go on with your life until the rumors finally die down.

By "very close" and "like" do you mean in an actual relationship way or just as very good friends? I'm trying to understand your situation better.

Child protection doesn't usually get involved unless there's something going on. Also, did you have pictures of underage girls?

If you did nothing wrong and CPS closed the case, then you've been proclaimed innocent, so no worries.

If you did do something wrong, well that will haunt you for the rest of your life. 15 and 12 is illegal, there are consequences when you don't follow the law.

If you are innocent it is very unlikely that this will haunt you as you go to college.
The expression,the truth shall set you free is valid.
Rumors tend to die down after a time.People will always find a new person to gossip about.

All of the answers and comments you got are good, and I would really advise you to take to heart the one about the pictures. If you have pictures of this girl or any girl underage and that just happens to be seventeen in most states, you are considered to be breaking the law and this is a law that can possibly hurt you for the rest of your live, things which might you having to have a sign in your yard saying a predator lives there, or a picture on the internet saying that you are a child predator.

So take the advise and do away with any pictures that you might have.
