My ex won't come down to see his daughter he demands that I take her down to him which I refuse. He was kicked out cause he beat me and got me by the throat and my daughter saw some of it. He also wishes I had died on operating table and she had died after I have this recorded on my phone as he was meant to be talking to her and he said that. I want her to have contact with him but I am worried about the affects that he is having on her and he is threatening to take me to court

You take HIM to court. You need to go to court to establish custody, support and visitation. You should be asking for supervised visitation considering the violent history.

You do what you have to, you check to see if you qualifty for legal aid in your area, you get it on a payment plan, what ever it takes.

First you follow though with the criminal charges, you get a order of protection even. And until you get a court order you don't let him get the child, assuming you are married and/or he is on the birth certificate, if he has the child, no reason to bring them back

There are battered woman agencies that can offer legal aid. Also check with Family court for what you need to file.
