    No reply for 4868...
    Hi ATE,

    In continuation with your earlier replies... I had applied for extension..
    But I have not got any reply till now... what should I do now ?

    I was to file my tax returns under First Year Extension. Now that 6 months from Feb 2006 is over I have to file the returns. Please help me.

    Form 4868 is an automatic extension. IRS will not respond to the form. In general, extension is good for 6 months, from April 15. As such, return is due October 15. Payment for expected taxes should havwe been made with the extension.

    Thanks for the reply and Last date information. I was thinking I have to get some sort of communication in regard to Form 4868.

    No, Babu, Delite is correct. The IRS normally will not acknowledge Form 4868.
