    About tenants right
I have a question about tenants rights in pa, what can my son do he believes he has a mold problem that might be getting the children sick, we had called a person in to check it out but once they found out we were renting they said they needed the landlords permission first and the landlord won't give permission. There are a lot of other problems the landlord doesn't take care of either, who can we call to have these matters resolved.

Try contacting your town or county's Board of Health to check the mold situation. They don't require permission from the landlord.

As for the other problems, you have to start putting them in writing. Send a letter to the landlord by certified mail, with a copy by regular mail, detailing the problems. If there hasn't been any action with a week or two, send another letter telling them they have 5 days to make repairs or you will make the repairs yourself and deduct the costs from the rent.
