Cartoon movie from the 80s
Saw this when I was a child, don't remember all of it but here is what I do remember :
- young boy leaves home, becomes a dark magician of sorts. Returns home later to find his parents displeased with his decision to join the "dark side". He gets mad and at some point breaks his little sister's doll - I seem to remember him throwing it in a corner of the room and casting a spell on it; much to the horror of the little girl - a group of the good guys leaves on a journey to find something or someone to help them in their quest. They go to an island, and talk to a large rocking horse - or something like that. The island is very foggy or misty; almost like a dreamland - the Bad Guy lives in this castle that is actually made up of people that the bad guy captured. The people were turned into "bricks" that were used to build the castle. When the bad guy is defeated, the castle starts falling apart and the people return to their normal form - like I said in the subject, this was a cartoon movie. I must've seen it in the mid to late eighties and I think it was fairly recent at the time - I am an American and I remember the movie being "American" as well; it didn't have any Japanese styling to it as far as I remember Thank you to anyone who knows what movie I am talking about!! |

I concur with my colleague Quinn F. In Unico: In the Magic Island, some kid becomes an evil mage and helps turn people into living puppets, who then become building blocks of a castle. At some point, the heroes, including a little girl, consult the Trojan Horse for advice. |
