Ssn medicare tax are not deducted
    HELLO,

I am on H1B visa from October 2008, but in my paychecks or in W2 I don't see any SSN or Medicare taxes?

When we are on H1B visa I heard that we have SSN and Medicare taxes, but I don't see that in my paystubs?

Will that be my fault or my employer's fault?

Please help I don't know what to do now?
From where can we check our status?

    Thanks

Yes, it is employer's fault. You must pay SS tax and Medicare tax on your H1-B income.
Talk to your employer. Make sure that your employer start deducting these taxes from Jan 2009.
