    Grandmother at wits end
From Indiana, I am a new grandparent my daughter will not let me see or visit my grandson, she will also not let the bio father see the child. She wants nothing to do with anyone in the family. We are working with the father to get a paternity test to prove it is his son. Anything we can do to change this problem?

Right now it seems as though the biological father is the best route.

IN has grandparent visitation laws so that is another route you may go if necessary.

Does your daughter have reasoning behind her decision? Did you have a good relationship with her pre-baby?

We had a typical teenage daughter relation pre baby. Even moved her and boy friend into house and GAVE them a car. All she and to do is put a new licensee on the car to drive it, She is really putting the child in harm's way and everyone across 3 state knows it. I even have pics of trash she is living in with child. Do you know what I have to do to start grandparents right through the courts

My first impression of this is that there is something going on other than a visitation/custody thing such as Post Partum Depression. Its not uncommon to shut out the father, but the maternal grandparents are a different case. Its unusual around here (at least from a legal standpoint)

Visitation is arranged through the courts and having a lawyer, especially as a grandparent is advised. It is not a right, but something that a court may award based on the "what is best for the child" rule. So your first step would be getting a lawyer.

But if you believe that the child is in danger, I would not wait. Get Child Protective Services or some other agency involved as soon as possible.

Sounds like a plan... she said I am trying to take the baby away but I'm not, just don't want the baby to grow up not seeing her grandmothers.
I'm going to try and get family involved and talk her down if that doesn't work I will go to the courts. She has a case worker but I don't think she's doing a very good job.
