    Remote ceilinf fan
I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan with remote control.
It has 3 speed for fan & dimmer for light
The remote was dropped & now the fan nor light will turn on.
    How can this be repaired?
    Is it in the remote?
Can a new remote be purchased?

Contact the manufacturer to obtain a new remote. Or purchase a universal replacement from anywhere fans are sold, but it might not match all the features.

Good advice but before you do anything more please open the battery compartment and check to see that the batteries are still making good contact.

Good point. Also check to make sure the dip switches are securely seated and match the fan. If they were in between contacts it's possible they could shut the remote off and there be no red light.
