Either in late seventies or early eighties I saw a movie that was set in Florida (I remember the guy being in the everglades). It was a comedy that featured a guy who was exposed to a comet or something that flashed an intense bright red light. This light altered his body, and after that, every time he saw the color red he was able to run at unbelievable speeds. It was unbelievable because the movie was really a joke compared to movies of today (like Flash Gordon was). In fact, I think it was around the time of flash gordon.
But this guy did not wear super hero garb until he decides to fight crime. But he gets into trouble if he can't find anything red. He was just a regular guy who accidentally receives some incredible power to run.
It was an extremely fun, humorous movie. Every time I try to explain it people look at me like I am crazy or something :eek:. NO ONE knows about it and it is a childhood favorite of mine.
I thought the movie was titled "Red Fuzz" but I can't locate anything with that title.
I would be gratefully surprised if anyone here could help me find the title.
