    Successor guardian and trustee
My husbands family lives in Texas. We live in Illinois. He has been ask to become succesor guardian of his mother and step-father. He would also become trustee at the same time. We are to go to court April 14. All we really know is that he would be paying all their bills and handle all their money. Is their someone that could tell us more.

I would not enter into this agreement until I first had an Attorney look at the paperwork you are being asked to sign. This could be a landmine, particularly long distance. If there are problems, for example, who pays your transportation back and forth? Do NOT do this without an Attorney's advice.
