Interior 4 panel doors separating at panel joint
I had my entire interior house repainted last fall. All the doors, which are wood 4 panel very good quality are all separating where the sunken panel meets the wood around the door. Not sure I am explaining this correctly but I hope someone gets the picture... The doors have been in this house for 15 years so it is not like they are new and dried out causing the shrinkage.
I need to know how to fix the panels where they meet--If I do not do this right the paint, which is sticking up where the panel meets the door it is goig to fragement and look horrid.
If someone can give me some help and guidiance it would be so appreciated...

Was there a stripper put on the doors to remove old varnish or paint?

If not then they are getting to reach a point they need addressed.

You say good quality. But the glue where the panels slots are gave out. That's what needs glued. Is there a separation on all of the inlay panels/

At a certain point the door would hit the jambs it the meeting rails are loose.

If the still shut fine then it's the inside panels that shrunk. Wood glue and bar clamps would be the repair here. Can you post a picture to the extent of the separation?
