    Satellite dish signal search
Recently I bought a satellite dish. I hooked the receiver and installed the dish. I have been searching for the signal. But all I could see is a message " NO/BAD SIGNAL" . Can any one help me on how to search for signals. Do I need any other signal sensing device/computer ?

The DirecTV receivers have a built in signal meter for this purpose. It is part of the dish setup.

Not sure about Dish TV but it likely has a signal meter as well.

If it is Satellite Internet, then you will have to use a signal meter. That is why they insist on an installer coming out.
