Massachusetts is especially rough on statutory rape. The law, as Steve posted, is very simple. If you have sex with someone under 16 you can be jailed for life.

What's even worse for your "boyfriend" is that there are many people legally mandated to report this. Your school, doctors, the hospital, etc are required by law to report this as abuse of a child.

While the law is harsh, I don't know about the application of the law. Even though this most likely will be reported and your boyfriend arrested, the prosecution may be decline to prosecute. So I suggest your rapist consult an attorney to find out how likely it is for him to be doing some heavy jail time.
