Stripping my hair from black to brown by myself?
So I am naturally a dark brown color, but I dyed my hair jet black, and summer is coming and I want to dye my hair back brown so I can bleach it. My mom and I cannot afford to do this in a salon so we are going to do it ourselves. We have never done hair stripping before and I need it done but this Saturday, I need help or instructions on what to do... PLEASE HELP ME!!:confused::confused:

    Bad, bad, bad idea.

You can do the following things, but I must warn you, you CAN ruin your hair, and I mean fry it.

1-You can buy a bleach kit at Wal-mart or Target, follow the directions cautiously. Your hair WILL turn out with an orange tint to it.

2a-Buy either a blonde dye and re-dye it the next day. Purchase yet another dye with the hair color you desire and you will have or be at least very close to the results your looking for.

2b- OR after bleach take your chances and buy a brown dye of your choice.

Like I said this can damage your hair, you'll mostly likely end up sending more money trying to fix it then you would at a salon.

Best bet would be save your money and get it done right, plus if the salon doesn't get you where you want your hair to be, with the right way of approaching the manager you can get it re-dyed with no cost.
