How do you backup email files in Vista?
    Hi,

I just want to save Outlook Express files to an external HD,
But can't find the .dbx files on Vista... I did a search for
*.dbx and couldn't find them.

Where are they & can I just save them to an external drive
And access them later by just copying them back?

    Thanks!
    :)

Are you sure your mail system is Outlook Express? Vista converts your mail to Microsoft Mail during installation. This would explain the absence of ".dbx" files that Outlook Express uses.
On my Vista OS the path is:
    Computer\OS(C:)\Users\username\AppData\Local\Micro soft\WindowsMail\LocalFolders
You should be able to copy the inbox or other folders to other locations such as a CD or external hard disk.
