[HASAPROBLEM]

I am a male and I've never been tested for STD's before. Im not as active as most males and am quite selective with whom I sleep with. But with those people I have rarely wore protection. Im concerned about my last ex girlfriend who did have cold sores on her lips every so often. I want to get tested but I heard stories. The idea of shoving and jamming a q tip into my urethra (I think) is not pleasant. Are there other ways of being tested, I want to be tested for everything and know that I am in fact disease free.

Try talking to your doctor. Otherwise I've heard that blood testing (and maybe other bodily fluid testing) is a viable method for testing for an STD.

If you a really worried about it then having a cu-tip up "there" might not be too bad... it will ease your mind. I've had the test done and yes I am a girl which made it much easier but when they came back clear I nearly threw a party in the doctors office :)
