    Maytag LDE482 Dryer Won't Start.
I recently moved my Maytag LDE482 Dryer to replace the floor. When it was moved back, it wouldn't start. I have checked the connections and the cirucit breaker and they are OK. What could be the problem? Is there a safety switch that has been tripped?

sewingchick - somehow you may have gotten the door safety switch out of adjustment or it may be broken:: if this switch is out of adjustment or broken or has become defective then the dryer will not work( run) now on how to test the door switch- first of all unplug the power cord from the wall receptical:: leave it off while testing;; you will need a volt-ohm meter for the testing:: #1- raise up the top of the dryer, raise it up <( now set your meter to the rx1 scale)dis
Connect the wires comeing to the switch: clip the meter probs to the wire terminalss on the switch:: iclose the switch with your fingers< if the meter reading is { zero } the switch is good:: if the meter reading is high then the switch is defective-replace:: now on the start switch and the {timer switch_ - you need to have a exp.electrician or a appliance repairman do the testing on them;; on some modles these switchs are mounted togreathert and you can't tell ine from the other so it is best not to try to do anything on these;; im hopeing that it is the door switch <it is easy to change out and work on sand will be cheaper then any of the others:: good luck and hope i have helped you out ,let me know god bless ::f.b.e.
