    Employer Taxes
    Hello,
    I am a resident of NJ

    I want to know what are the different taxes that my employer has to pay and what is the percentage of each.

    Please let me know.

    Your employer pays HIS share of the FICA taxes: Social Security at 6.2% and Medicare at 1.45%.

    He also pays an unemployment tax of about 1% of your annual salary.

    There are also NJ assessments, but I am not aware of the exact percentages.

What do you do if you suspect your employer is not paying your taxes? He is taking them out of my check but he is giving me a hand written check with no check stub stating the taxes he has taken out.
