    Yeast infection remedy and bleeding?
I have had a yeast infection for about 3 months now... I kept going to my gyno and she repeatedly gave me diflucan. I've taken it 6 times since the yeast infection started. A couple days ago I realised that the diflucan had failed once again and was desperate to get rid of this yeast infection already! I looked up online some home remedies and decided to use garlic and eat a lot of plain yogurt. The idea of the garlic was to insert a fresh clean clove over night to kill the yeast. I did this for 2 nights and I feel a lot less itchy. But on the second morning when I woke up I saw spotting of blood in my underwear. I stopped with the garlic but later on in the day the spotting turned to heavy bleeding and cramping, now I can't tell if I have the yeast discharge. I am on the birthcontrol pill, so this is heavier than normal bleeding is very unusual for me. Ive been bleeding steaily now for 3 days and I am not expecting my period for at least 2 more weeks. I am planning on seeing a doctor next week if my bleeding and yeast infection are still a problem, but in the mean time... can anyone tell me what is going on??

Do you have any health issues that you are taking regular medicine for? Certain health conditions can make yeast infections more common. Avoid douching if you do so and you have done the old standby of yogurt.
Are you using the medication prescribed for the entire time? In some cases being on a low dose over a long period may become necessary.

The birth control pills may be the issue in your situation. For some women, their use increases the number of yeast infections. Only way to know for sure would be to go off them, use something else for awhile, and see if there is a difference.

Hope you find some relief soon!
