    Recovery rebate credit situation
    Hi

I am Filing jointly this year (wife is Non Resident alien on F1 and has a SS number, we got married early 2008) and will be treated as Resident alien for tax purposes. She filed 1040A for 2007 as Single and got the stimulus rebate check of 300$ (I got $600 bcos I was resident). We amended the return to 1040NREZ and returned a check for 300$ as a return of Rebate .

My question is, now when I am filing jointly can we assume she did not receive the rebate in 2007 and get 600$ recovery rebate credit (1200 minus 600)? Or will the recovery rebate credit be 300 (1200 -(600+300))? Or nothing at all.

Thank you very much in advance.

You should be getting a $600 RRC for 2008.
