My Kenmore washer model 110.20872990 is making a grating noise during spin cycle and will not spin. All other functions appear to be working

Power off the mains. Drain the water by unscrewing the bottom front panel, torx screws beneath. You will find drain hose. On the right you have to check your pump which is after the filter, be prepared for dirty water. Of course clean filter.
