Buyer backed out of the contract.
I am trying to sell my house. We went into contract with the buyer supposed to come up with a sum of money by a specified date. The buyer ended up not showing up with ANY money even after contacting him multiple times. Do we have any recourse since he basically broke the contract?

Thanks for any help and advice.

No he didn't break the contract. A contract requires two elements. Something of value being offerred in exchange for something of value given in return. Until the buyer fulfilled his end of the contract by providing the money required, the contract wasn't finalized.

Sorry, but we don't generally remove threads. One of the benefits of a public forum like this is an archive of questions and answers. Someone with a similar issue might be looking for an answer and find this thread helpful.
