    Dog Life Jackets
    Well we live about 10mins away from a really awesome beach. So in the summer we go there a lot. The other day when I was at Wal-mart I saw an AKC dog life jacket for only 16.95$. Which to me seemed really cheap especially for around here.

    I was thinking about getting one for Rex as he is around water a lot in the summer.
    Is this a good one to buy?? Or does it sound like a waste of money... And is there anyone who owns one and could tell me the name brand and if it works well??

    My partners old dog had one but I can't for the life of me remember the brand! Sorry!
    She used to go out on the boat with them, she was an awesome swimmer but it was better to be safe than sorry on a boat!

    I would suggest a dog life jacket on a boat, but don't think one is necessary near a beach. We live near a beach and are there a lot. I don't use life jackets for my dogs while there, mainly because they are running around in and out of the water, so life jacket would make them hotter then they already get.

    I got one at Petco for my chihuahua. She loved it. They get tired after a while...
