Tier I and Tier II (Marines)
When searching online, I found the terms "Tier I" for High school graduates, and "Tier II" for GED graduates. I haven't asked a recruiter about it, but I also haven't been able to find the terms used in the same meaning any where else. I know the discrimination against accepting limited GED marines, compared to HSD marines was a little unfair. Just wanted to know how far this travels within the marines. The recruiters told me, after finishing boot camp, my ASVAB will be what's used, and the civilian education won't be important. As Ill go to school on base for which ever position I aim to work in. Will I carry a title though, because of the GED?
