Organizing the brown shirts
Have you taken the pledge yet ? I had a neighbor email me the pledge asking me to sign on and it kind of floored me.
Organizing for America | Organizing for America Pledge Project
I tell you Saul Alinsky would be proud . The President has extended his Alinsky modelled perpetual campaign into an art form.
Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.”
Michelle Obama
There is a new political organization being formed before our eyes . It's influence will exceed in short time puney groups like People for the American Way because it is a continuation of the Obama movement .It may in fact become a greater force than either political party.
It is called 'Organizing for America' Barack Obama and Joe Biden: The Change We Need | Obama HQ Blogger: Organizing for America
The President calls it a grass roots movement for propaganda purposes but it is anything but. The full weight of the President and his political party is behind it.
The Obama grassroots network—now known as Organizing for America, a project of the Democratic National Committee—has launched an e-mail pledge drive on MyBarackObama.com in which supporters sign their e-mail address to the statement: “I support President Obama's bold approach for renewing America's economy.”
The pledge drive was announced with a video called “Ready for the Fight.” Plouffe e-mailed supporters over the weekend with a challenge labeled “The next few weeks”: “In the next few weeks we'll be asking you to do some of the same things we asked of you during the campaign—talking directly to people in your communities about the President's ideas for long-term prosperity.”
Obama launches message war - Mike Allen - POLITICO.com
The Obots collected a thirteen million person e-mail listduring the run up to the election and they are enlisting as many of them as possible in this effort.
They are asking you to sign a pledge... not the nation ;the constitution ;not even the flag... but to Obama and his plan.
This is a big test to the concept of a permanent campaign . The President is counting on a door to door and emailing barage by his minions and this could be a template on how he fights future legislative battles.

Well, Michelle did say that he was a "taskmaster", now didn't she? If a person were to say that in say, Africa, they would probably be shot at or clubbed to death as this is another euphasism for slave master.
Can eveyone say Seig Heil? Ok, all you 13 million Obamatrons in unision say Seig Heil.
Tom - do you even speak to your robot neighbor at all before or after this email?

I love the way the plan is so so detailed
What kind of health reform if Obama does not even think the government should foot the bill for service connected illnesses?
Does renewable energy come with a carbon TAX?
Does renewable energy include nuclear?
Does education reform include choice? Vouchers ? Limiting the salaries of university presidents? Limiting college tuition?
Congress may be sheep like and just as mentally deficient to be passing his spendusintoablivious bills, but are the citizenry really that gullible?

I'm just curious if Michelle hasn't bithc-slapped Barack and told him to get rid of the incompetent boys managing the White House.

Yes, the Obama propaganda machine is in high gear. There is no escaping the all Obama all the time coverage. You can't even escape him in the sports page - the biggest article in our sports section today was on Obama's brackets - or late night TV as you know. Now we'll have the Obama army scouring the neighborhoods and ramping up the digital chatter. Since he's expanding the federal welfare payroll exponentially they can all work for him full time before long.
I hope they come knocking on my door.

The House passed the GIVE act yesterday, the first step in Obama's mandatory national service plan. I'm telling you, doublethink is reality. I don't know how else you can describe "mandatory" volunteerism. From Sec 6104 of the Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education Act:
(b) Specific Topics- In carrying out its general purpose under subsection (a), the Commission shall address and analyze the following specific topics:
(1) The level of understanding about the current Federal, State, and local volunteer programs and opportunities for service among individuals in the United States.
(2) The issues that deter volunteerism and national service, particularly among young people, and how the identified issues can be overcome.
(3) Whether there is an appropriate role for Federal, State, and local governments in overcoming the issues that deter volunteerism and national service and, if appropriate, how to expand the relationships and partnerships between different levels of government in promoting volunteerism and national service.
(4) Whether existing databases are effective in matching community needs to would-be volunteers and service providers.
(5) The effect on the Nation, on those who serve, and on the families of those who serve, if all individuals in the United States were expected to perform national service or were required to perform a certain amount of national service.
(6) Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds.

Hello again,
History tells us that when one president goes too far in one direction, the next one is going to be too far in the other direction.
If you didn't want such a leftward lean, you shouldn't have supported such a rightward lean, like the one we just had.
I know, I know. You didn't care how far right you pushed, because you bought into the Rove fantasy that there was going to be a permanent right wing majority.
Obama is the PROOF that Rove was wrong, oh so wrong!

Really ? We had virtually uninterrupted "New Deal/Great Society " left wing progressive statism from 1932-1980. We have a long way to go to get back to the center .

Again with the myth that Bush was a hardcore conservative? I think you'll have a hard time finding where I ever "didn't care how far right you pushed."

So just how are they going to enforce this nonsense with the "youth" of America? And what are the "punishments" going to be for not "volunteering"? This is definitely going to be good...

The Obots have one more day to organize their "Pledge Project Canvas".
Organizing for America | Host a Pledge Project Canvass
Best idea I have heard to date to run some rear guard action is to attempt to engage them in a lengthy debate and thus denying them the time to complete their neighborhood. Who knows ? Perhaps you can penetrate the kool-aid induced haze and help them get rid of that leg tingle.

Obama supporters knocked on an estimated 1 million doors in all 50 states.
That's all ? Wow ,back-bencher Conservative talk shows have more of an impact. Maybe that buyer's remorse has penetrated the street level rank and file .
Meanwhile, established liberal groups are gearing up to stop the Blue Dogs in more traditional ways. The Campaign for America's Future and other groups have scheduled a joint news conference for Tuesday to announce what they term a "new campaign to dog the Blue Dogs."
Love it ! A couple of months into the Obama administration the Dems are setting up the circular firing squad ! Or perhaps this is the equivalent of the Soviet Great Purge;the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution of China ;or the Night of Long Knives, to get rid of the unpure.

Hey Tomder! Thanks for the heads up on the Obot invasion last weekend. Apparently there were TWO Obots in my neighborhood on Sunday! OMG! Yep. Two kids aged probably 10 and 14 were out drumming up (or trying to drum up) business for the boss. They didn't come to my door though as they happily ran out of paperwork about a 1/2 block away (or threw the papers away) and went home. Gosh, I would have given anything to have confronted the Obots and asked them a few questions they could not have answered. Gee, 10 and 14 year olds!! Oddly enough they were both black. Their mother is white and father is black. Neither parent was with these kids. They live in the next community over as I recognized them. My community has 55 year old and over in it. I'm disappointed I didn't get a chance to confront the Obots.
P.S. Here in Podunk Ohio, there were zero and none Obama yard signs last year. Wonder why the kids threw away their paperwork? Guess they didn't have any takers for their Obot baloney.
