    Non-Toxic Glue/Caulks
    Hi,

I need to join 2 PVC pipes together on a swimming pool pump line. Is there any non-toxic materials that do not off-gas VOCs and would be waterproof?

    Thank you.

    Hi, parrot33!

Greetings and WELCOME to the site! I just moved your question that you had posted in Introductions to this forum topic area so that it will get the most exposure to those who are best able to answer it. Introductions is for people to introduce themselves and we try to not ask questions there.

I was going to move your question to the Pools, Spas & Saunas forum topic area, but I figured that you would get the most professional answers in Plumbing.

It can be a little confusing when first learning how to use this site! Your question will get noticed much more in this forum topic area.

We would appreciate it if you would return to Introductions sometime to tell us a little about yourself though, if you would be willing to do that.

    Thanks!

Non-toxic? Well I wouldn't drink the primer or snort PVC Cement but I fear that's what you're going to hafta use to join PVC pipes together. Purchase small cans of PVC Primer and PVC Cement. Paint both pipes and the coupling with PVC Primer before gluing. Good luck, To

    Hi all...

Actually they make a low-VOC non-toxic PVC primer/cement in one called gorilla PVC glue...

    Check out this web site:

    Gorilla PVC Glue

I use this product whenever I am in a home with little kids running around... low to no fumes and good to 160PSI.

Usually only sold at plumbing supply stores.

Let me know what you think...
