Parole in ca. charged with a crime in Florida
I am currently on parole in the state of California I was pulled over a few weeks ago for a traffic infraction and found out I had a 17 year old warrant out of Florida. I went to jail and signed extradition papers but Florida cut me loose and said they were not coming to get me, California said the warrant was still active and I would continue to get arrested until Florida dropped the warrant. I flew to Florida to appear in court and they closed the warrant but still charged me with the crime. I want to know why it came up now and not when I had prior contact with law enforcement. Ive been to prison and then released on parole and still nothing from Florida came up until now. Can you give me any information. And is there a reason they didn't extradite me when I was in custody and then charged me still its been 17 years

    Hello whitney:

You're expecting entirely TOO much consistency within the justice system, and you're looking for answers where there are none.
