    Temporary foreign worker and 401k
I have been told by my company that I don't qualify for their 401k plan as a foreign temporary worker. I am in the States working under a L1A visa (7 years) and I would have thought I'd have this right. Could you please confirm? Thanks

Nonimmigrant visa holders are allowed to participate in 401(k) plans. This might be a company policy that excludes you. Confirm with a tax specialist.

NB: you are limited to seven years on an L-1B. Are you returning home or have they filed for an EB-1(3) for your PR?

I trust this is responsive to your inquiry. Good luck.
