I have two oil painting that I bought at an estate auction. They are signed by Bennett and the paintings are of old barn and landscapes. Can anyone help with a first name of this artist.

Can you give us a little more information? Any chance for a photo of the signature and the overall image? There are 100's of Bennetts but maybe we can narrow it down. Rick

Hopefully this will help! On the larger painting Bennett is signed on the right lower corner.
On the smaller 8x10 painting it is signed on the left lower corner.

have one oil painting signed by Bennett also,looks like same artist style in your picture, no first name ,titled country farmhouse 36 x 24 wood frame ,has a date of 1945 on a old sticker on the back with the name country farmhouse ,Bennett, picture signed lower left corner Bennett no info on this artist.if you find out anything let me know thanks rb [email protected]

It may be by Sopha Orene Bacon Bennett, Michigan artist, lived 1864 to 1950. I am only going by the fact that I have a painting of similar style. The signature looks similar, but it is difficult to tell by your photograph. I researched mine and am fairly certain I am correct, but can find no information on the opinion of her work, nor the valuation of her works that have been sold. Probably not a fortune iof that is what you are hoping for.

I have a painting by Jack SC Bennett # on back of frame is 9955. It's a landscape with trees, creek, and mountain in background.. looks like the pictures you have here.
