    Tax rebate
    Hello,

I'm filing 1040 for the first time and have been previously filing 1040NR. Now, I'm a resident on H1B for tax purposes and have SSN but, my wife now would be considered resident for filing joint but she does not have ITIN or SSN.

Are we eligible for tax rebate please? Also, I'm getting refund based on calculations and would like to extend the filing date. How do I do it and what form do I need to fill up?

    Thank you very much.

For extension to file use Form 4868.

You will NOT get the Recovery Rebate Credit due your wife having an ITIN.
