    Burned on Cermaic Cooktop
How do I get burned on cleaner off my ceramic cooktop? Our babysitter used the ScotchBrite cooktop cleaner pads on our stove and my husband cooked on it before the cleaner was buffed off. More cleaner and lots of elbow grease doesn't seem to have helped a lot. Dare I try vinegar?

Do you have the instruction manual for how to clean your cooktop? I used to have one that was ceramic with painted-on pan markers. I used oven cleaner on it, worked great. That may not be safe for what you have however. Vinegar is probably harmless, but won't help.

A local hardware store may have a knowledgeable sales person who can help you find out what will work best, without harming the cooktop.
