Hi. Me and my husband getting divorced after 3 months I gave birth to our son. He never wanted this baby and he doesn't want him in the future. While my boyfrend want to take all responsobilitys and be father for my son. What is the best way to make my boyfriend my sons father legally. What legal papers should I look for. ( we don't have much money for lawers. I want to do as much work as I can bymyself.) thanks

You will want an attorney,

First most states will want you married to him for about one year to start the process. During this time be sure and make ex pay his child support, he will be more willing to sign over the rights if he gets him out of paying. ** for those that don't want to pay and don't love their child.

After that you have to make a motion in court for the adoption and as part of that adoption paperwork will be the persmisson and the signing over of his rights.
