    What might a charge be on a minor for theft?
    If a minor is charged with theft and possession of narcotics for the first time, what might the charges be.
    I know it is usually up to the judge but is it possible it can only be community service time?

    It's really up to the judge's discretion. Do you have a past history? How much was it? Were you caught at school or near school? There really are a lot of factors that would make it unable for us to tell.

    I will assume you man what will the sentence be ?

    If this is done in Juv court the skys the limit, probation is common esp if there is good parent support.

    They could require them to do counseling, keep up a certain grade point average in school, the Juv courts can go into home life review and more, it is always just up to the judge and recommendations of the youth intake people often
