I have PCOS and now my period has lasted almost 2 weeks
I am 19 years old and I was recently diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and was put on birth control. All has been going well up until now. I had my normal period the second week of February and then again around the 20th. It is now the 4th of March and my period is still going. It is extremely light now, but will not go away!
Should I be calling my doctor by now? I don't want to be over paranoid

Never hesitate to call your doctor if you think there's something wrong. A two-week period is not normal. It may not be anything to worry about, especially since you just started the pill and your hormones are adjusting. But only your doctor can tell you for sure.

Im 21 and have the same thing... ive had a really heavy period for 2 weeks... I believe it is normal because of all the build up inside you.. when you have pcos you normally don't get regular periods... I have my period now which is the first time since march 2011. So I believe that the reason for my long heavy period is because of all the build up from not having them for so long. I have even taken a pergnancy test just to make sure that it wasn't a sign of pregnancy as bleeding is a sign of it. I'd say go see your doctor.. get it checked out.. I have an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow I just want to make sure that this bleeding is normal. Hope it all goes well hun!
