    Explorer Ball Joints
    Greetings
I need lower ball joints for my 1997 Ford Explorer, xlt, 6 cyl sohc, Vin 'E'.
Who makes the best product? Should I replace the upper ball joints at the same time, even if they are not as bad?
    Thanks,
    Jim

I think MOOG makes a pretty decent part. I don't know if they sell that in your area. Wherever you go to buy, make sure you buy the higher quality/longer warranty part. With something as important as balljoints, it's not worth saving yourself a few bucks.

Go to RockAuto.com and buy the least expensive ball joints that are "Professional Grade." Spicer, for example, makes many for Moog and others, for a fraction of the price. It's best to do both at the same time, but it depends on your wallet, their condition, and how long you plan on keeping the vehicle.
