    Backwater Valve Question
    Hello

I had a backwater valve recently installed in my basement. The top of it rests about a foot below the basement floor. Is there some kind of cover that is manufactured that could be put over the hole?

    Hey Angelo,

They make the cover you need but I need a size to look for before I can answer. Regards, Tom

    Hi Tom

The hole that the valve rests in is a little over 10" in diameter.

the valve itself is a zurn z-1088 6" combo valve hub and spigot

It just might be. Do they measure the diameter from the bottom or the top of the cover? Because I am wondering if the 10" one might be too snug, would the 8" fit. Where would you be able to purchase this? I checked on the home depot website and there was nothing there

You'll have to contact the manufacture as to if and where they can be picked up locally. At the same time give them the give them the dimensions of the hole you wish to cover and ask for their imput. Regards, Tom
