My husband and I started this past month to try and get pregnant. I'm so excited about possibly being pregnant, that I'm looking for all the signs. If I was pregnant, it would only be between 6 and 8 days at this point. But I'm FIVE pounds heavier, very crampy, and my breasts are larger, but not really sore. Is it possible that these are signs, or is it just too early?

Well I swear I new I was pregnant like a week after planted. I was just feeling a little sick and I could feel my breast swell up so I got a pregnancy test and it was negative but then like 2 weeks after I went to the doc and it turnd out I was pregnant. I read that some women can feel that they are pregnant when they are only 8 day's pregnant

At 5 to 8 days the egg has barely even implanted into the uterus.

The signs you describe do not happen for the first month or two.

Thank you all for writing. A new "symptom" I have had is a metallic taste in my mouth. I've never had it before, and it tastes like I'm biting on aluminum foil. I used to never dream, and now I dream every night, very vividly. I have a doctors appointment on 9-8-06, so I will be keeping my fingers crossed. Thank you again for your responses. :)

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

I am not sure about the metallic taste, but yes, vivid dreams are known to be a symptom of pregnancy.

I have had many through my 4 pregnancies. Bad and good. It is all due to increased hormones.
