Arrest warrant for bruise on 13 yr old that hit me
Hello there, on October 2008 I asked my 13 yr old daughter to help her little brother fix his bed; she replied, "No, he's old enough and he can do it himself!" so I said, "But???" (wondering how come she was reacting that way) and at that very same moment she dug her nails into my forearm leaving 4 permanent scars; she almost caught my vain. So, when she made my forearms bleed I hit her with a plastic hanger 5 times. Now, the state of Oklahoma issued an arrest warrant. However, I'm in California and I just found out because I saw the court dockets online. I have not been served nor has anybody informed me about this issue. I saw that there is 25,000.00 bail bond. I do not have any other criminal offenses nor do I have 25,000.00. What can I do?

    Thanks

Contact a lawyer right away and see what advice he has. It is unfortunate that people can't discipline their kids anymore without getting into trouble. This is why kids are such troublemakers nowadays. 20 years ago the police would not even be involved.

Ok, first where were you at when you "hit" her. That is where charges are to be made. So if this is the wrong state you can file to have charges dismissed since they don't have jurisdiction over this.

Now someone had to report the action, did she, or your ex call the police and report it ?

First you need to hire an attorney, next you need to call a bailsbondmen and arrange bail, for 25,000 you will need most likely 2500 dollars or property that can be put up worth that much if they accept real estate bond

People were not allowed to strike their children with hangers 5 times (which probably was 10 times) 20 years ago. It's child abuse.

This is a legal thread - please stick to legal advice. Any other discussion about disciplining children should be moved to a relationship board.
