I have a minipin/chi and a chi/mix puppies and I and going nuts trying to house train any suggustions?

How old? How long have you had him/her?

Are you home during the day? How often is the dog let outside? Do you go with her, praise her when she potties? Do you use puppy pads?

House training can be really hard with some dogs, they vary as to how quickly they get the idea. You need to spend as much time as you can with your dogs, not only taking them outside at least once every hour to see if they need to go (obviously reward heavily with praise and even a titbit if they do toilet outside) but keeping an eye on them as much as possible for signs that they may need to 'go'. These signs include sniffing the ground and circling around or going to the place where they usually toilet. Whizz them straight outside as soon as you see a sign and reward success enthusiastically. If you punish your dogs for accidents you will teach them not to do it when you are looking but you will not be teaching them not to do it indoors because if you're not there, nothing bad happens. They cannot associate a scolding with a deed if the deed was done earlier. Although they may look sorry, this is not because they understand what they have done wrong, it is because you are scolding. If you're using puppy pads, reward heavily when the pads are used, and slowly move the pad a short distance every day nearer to the door to outside. Eventually, you will be able to put the pad outside and they will go to the door to be let out. The more times your dogs get it right and are rewarded, the quicker they will be house trained. When you leave your dogs, it is a good idea to put them in a crate. It mustn't be big enough for them to have spearate areas for toileting and laying down. The theory is that dogs don't like to lay in their own mess so confining them to a small area will encourage them to hold it until they are let out. You then take them straight outside/to their puppy pad when you let them out, wait until they 'go' and reward. Good luck and be patient. It does happen eventually.

As an add on to what Sajjw said. Remember that most dogs don't have a lot of bladder control until they reach around 4 months of age, so a younger puppy needs more potty breaks and may still have accidents. Be patient, I've never met a dog that can't be housebroken.
