    Trying to find a song from my childhood late 70's early 80's
    I'm hoping someone can help me find a R&B song from my childhood which was the late 70's early 80's I only know partial lyrics to the song and I'm not sure who sang it I'm not even sure of the name of the song but I'm hoping someone will recognize the lyrics so here it goes: Sunrise start a brand new day shine on all the children of the world amuse them as they play. Sunrise wake up everyone... ( don't know the rest of this part)
    Some more of the song goes: Look at this day sunshine or rain isn't it beautiful oooo and live for today don't throw it away cause tomorrow doesn't come forever... ( music plays)
    Sunrise thank you for today (this is all I know) I sure hope someone can help I loved this song so much and this haunts me I hate that I don't know who sang it or the title please help a sista out lol! :)

    The song is called Sunrise... the artist was a band called Slick... it was on an album called Go For It and it was released about 1980.
