How old is she? How long have you had her? What type of hamster is she?

I hope they aren't in the same cage, hamsters don't live well together, they are solitary animals.

Having said all that. Try feeding her a treat to get her more used to you. Take it slow, a bit more time every day, before you know it she'll be more friendly and you'll be able to pet her easier.

It's humans that feel the need to pet hamsters, the hamsters just tolerate it, they don't really enjoy it.

Good luck with your new pet.

Im not sure how old she is and I just got her today. My aunt said that the boy needed someone to talk to so I got them both today. They have been living well together.and they are really tiny but there a little older than newborn and very active except for the girl for some reason she likes to play but doesn't like to run around like the boy

They're living well together because they're young, one day, if you don't separate them before they reach sexual maturity they will fight. It's very possible you'll wake up one morning to fine one of your hamster eating the other one. It's not fun. Separate them.

The only breed of hamster that can be kept togther are Russian dwarf hamster, the rest are solitary and do not like or need company.

I've done my research on this. Sorry, but Auntie is wrong, they won't talk to each other, they'll likely kill each other.

    Good luck.
