    1099R and 1040 filing
    Both my parents passed away last year and left my brothers and I money from there retirement and 401k. My question is I have to file a w2. I got two 1099r. I did get taxes taken out of the checks I received. Now I planned to carry my mother on my taxes can I write off my mothers funeral services and tithes that I paid. How do I file both together

    You CANNOT deduct her funeral expenses from your income tax return.

    You CAN deduct the tithing as an itemized deduction if it was your money that was donated and you itemize.
