    Trying to find my real dad
    My real dad left my mum when she was pregnant with me. I know his name and the city he lives in. he's never given my mum a penny for me and never tried to see me. Do I try to find him? Or should I just forget about him?

    You could try some online resources such as the Clerk of Court Civil and Criminal dockets if you know the county he lives in. This may give you the home address of where he is living now or did live.

    You can also try the Auditor's Office to see if he owns any real estate in that county.

    These two resources are public information available to anyone. If the Clerk's Office and Auditor's Offices do not have web sites, you can call them up and get the information free.

    Your mom is the one who should have filed for any child support, not you.
