Am I doing the right thing?
My boyfriend and I had been together for six years, I'm 4 yrs older than him,but it doesn't matter because our relationship lasted almost six years, I would rate our relationship probably an 8,yes we have some fights but I know its normal in a relationship,I thought that he's already the one and ims till believing he still is, its been 11 months since we broke up,but I'm still waitng for him to come back,I tried to get back with him last six months but he told me its better this way, to be friends, and he is happy because despite of everything were still friends.. until now I still love him and wait for him to come back, I just coudnt believe that for that one big fight, its all gone, sometimes I regret myself for being angry with that day.it all started there, then after that he told me he wants space, that he needs to think, after that I broke up with him because I don't want to leave on hanging.. I jusr don't know what to do should I still wait for him or not, we had so many plans together, we even had a joint account, were planning for our future.and now its all gone, sometimes I tex him just to say hello,I still have te accounts because I borrow it and he told me I could use it for emergency.. I just miss him so much, and right now I don't know why I still have my hope that he will come back, am I crazy?am I having false hopes.. next month its going to be 1 year of separation, but still I'm willing to wait for him,. help me..

First off, it didn't ALL start that one day. If it was enough to end a 6-year relationship, then this was something that had been built up.

You need to move on with your life. It's been nearly a year, I think he's made it obvious that he doesn't want to be with you romantically. It's great that he's stuck around as a friend and helps out. But this shouldn't be mistaken as hope for a future relationship, which is what I think you are doing.

If necessary you need to break ALL contact with him so that you can move on. Because, honestly, it seems like you think there's still a chance because he's still around.

Life is lived in the NOW, not in the past.

YOu are going to have to make a clean break and face your misery over the loss of your *dreams*.Pull yourself together and go out and live life one day at a time. Be open to talking to all kinds of new people... add a couple of activities to your life so you can meet a new crowd of people... and forge on with your life.

LIfe is full of ups and downs; in order to make a happy life for yourself, you're going to have to learn how to deal with both. :)

    Best wishes going forward,
